Background

Bupa is in the process of developing an online strategy which is part of the business planning for the next 12-24 months. As part of developing this strategy the eCommerceteam needs to present the first draft plan highlighting the propositions that it will be developing, the underlying rationale, and the overall roadmap for delivery.

What we did, and how

We produced a plan that highlighted the propositions that will be delivered over the 12-24 months. Within this, we established the underlying rationale highlighting why these propositions have been selected. This included the business rationale (size of the opportunity, high-level business case, validation of benefits, etc.)

We focused on validating propositions that the business had already defined rather than creating new solutions. We then produced a high-level roadmap highlighting the delivery plan for these propositions based on an As-Is review, gap analysis and overall plan.

Results

  • Defined the team and resource flow to deliver a 3 year eCommerce programme
  • Validated the eCommerce capabilities across the business
  • Created the cross-functional steering group and governance
  • Create the roadmap framework for departments to deliver the executive 3 year plan
